Takuma Sato, MD, PhD is a board-certified specialist in reproductive medicine (Japan Society for Reproductive Medicine). He works in both clinical IVF practice and research, and is passionate about patient education. Through Note and Instagram, he shares clear, trustworthy information on fertility and women's health.

Born in 1986, Dr. Sato graduated from Jikei University School of Medicine in 2011. After completing initial training at the Japanese Red Cross Medical Center, he joined the Department of Obstetrics and Gynecology at Jikei University Hospital, where he worked for 12 years before moving to Omotesando ART Clinic in April 2025.

His doctoral research focused on premature ovarian insufficiency (POI), a condition in which approximately 3–4% of women experience menopause before age 40 due to an early decline in ovarian reserve. Working also with the healthcare industry, he aims to help women understand their bodies, use AMH testing and other data to make informed decisions, and protect their future options. This book was written to share what readers should know even before visiting a clinic.
